A cohort of start-ups will showcase their future-focused solutions at World Water-Tech North America in Los Angeles next month.

You’ll discover their game-changing technologies including autonomous underwater vehicles, activated sludge technologies, filtration, underground water mapping and watershed dynamics.

Known globally for its focus on innovation, investment and technology solutions, the World Water-Tech North America program aims to advance opportunities and partnerships for start-ups as they raise their profile and connect with potential utilities, technology partners and investors.

Meet the companies taking the stage during the Start-Up Showcase session and showcasing solutions in the Exhibition:

CivilGrid: is building the Google Maps for the underground – one map for pipes, poles, parcels, and everything in between.

DetoXyFi: is commercializing a breakthrough water filter that is economically and environmentally sustainable to all. Its all-natural water filter provides WHO quality protection to the most vulnerable population affected by natural disasters as well as daily use.

EM Locator Technology: has developed a patented system that accurately detects the location, depth and volume of groundwater to identify places to drill new water wells or to assist in recharging depleted aquifers creating more groundwater for everyone.

IXDen: has introduced AI software for operational technology, equipment failure prediction, integrity, and cybersecurity leveraging its patented ‘biometric’ IoT device identity and multi-factor authentication. IXDen achieves the highest sensor data integrity on a sensor level, providing at-the-source anomaly detection.

Polygone: has developed the Artificial Root filtration system which is designed to affordably monitor and remove microplastics from a wide range of waterbodies, including wastewater treatment effluent channels, drinking water treatment channels, open streams, river mouths, marinas, and lake outflows.

Sunfish: is an underwater robotics hardware and software company that develops and deploys autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) for exploration and inspection.

SediVision: provides engineering services related to the advanced quantification and mapping of grit and sand accumulation in wastewater biological nutrient removal tanks and large diameter pipes providing utilities with complete visibility with no need to drain down or bypass.

True Elements: provides deep, clear water intelligence that clarifies water complexity to help leaders make accurate, effective decisions to address their water challenges. True Elements applies a sophisticated, scientific and AI lens to multiple layers of disparate watershed data to produce deep, clear, holistic insights into watershed dynamics.

VorTech Water Solutions: has developed and launched a patented, new class of activated sludge technology, Vortex Powered Aeration (VPA), which transforms wastewater treatment plants by enabling safer and more cost-efficient retrofits, reducing maintenance costs and increasing energy efficiency.

World Water-Tech North America in Los Angeles on October 25-26 will bring together 300+ water utilities, engineering firms, regulators, investors, entrepreneurs and tech providers for two high energy days of 1-1 meetings, panel sessions, roundtable discussions and a networking drinks reception.
